Audio Conference - not good...

- but it certainly is not a practical solution for us. Here I tell why.

I should have a new case fixed for AC this morning at 10.30am and the IT unit has allocated a room for all AC cases to be heard. This room is one of the officers' room and she's not doing her case therein. This means that we all have to use this room (leave our room and go to this room) in order to use the phone in that room. Apparently that room has no internet line. So we had to manually pick the info from counsel and then get back to our own room to update the cms. Yes, tripple works for one easy  task (heeeee...)

Unfortunately we had many cases fixed for today. I got 15 cases for myself. Hence I did'nt notice that on 10.30am I was supposed to leave my room and get ready in the other room. Even I forgot to change the silent mode of my handphone.

On 10.45am, just when a lawyer left my room, I accidentally looked onto my handphone and realised that there's a miscall from Maxis Unity at 10.30am. Oh Gosh....! There goes the government monies! How could I miss it! It was a call for AC...alamakkkk...

Well, actually the lawyer for that new case for AC had come much earlier and I finished his case first before others. Simply because he told me that he only got the letter to do the AC from Court just Friday afternoon and he was'nt able to fax his reply (whether agree/not) for the AC. Furthermore, the letter had wrongly stated his case number. Hence he just came this morning to do the case manually. After all he has other case in this building as well.

The reason for me being so "alamakkkk habislah...!" is this. Maxis will charge the Court (Malaysian Government lah of course) with RM1 for an AC session. Then, another charge of 11 cent for 1 min talktime during the AC. We have to use 2 numbers on our side. The committee opt to use our handphone numbers and office line (in that room). When the time comes for AC, Maxis will call both of our numbers. We have to pick both, and then disconnected the handphone and proceed to use the office line (whichever suits us lah). But if we failed to pick up our handphone, and Maxix Unity got into out voicemail, it would continue to charge until the lapse of 30minutes. Imagine, 11cent multiply to 30 minutes, plus the RM1 per session? = RM4.30 tau!

Yea lah, some would say, ala Kerajaan yang bayar, biarkan je lah... Masalahnya, duit Kerajaan adalah duit cukai yang diorang kutip daripada pendapatan aku yang tak seberapa ni..... (heeeeeee...) Lepas tu, duit Kerajaan tu adalah daripada duit yang dari fund yang ada kat Court. Kalau dah banyak sangat charges, duit Court habis bayar kat bil saja, apa jadi dengan kebajikan kita bila duit dah sikit? {Aku tetiba terasa hangin mengingatkan member2 AG yang boleh claim perjalanan hari2, sedangkan kami ni boleh claim sekali saja pergi dan balik, huuuuu - sebab duit kita sikit katanya....}
