I purposedly named Arissa by this name because it means "braveness/strong" although I may not be able to confirm the origin of the word. When she was a baby, she used to be very friendly with people. She smiled a lot and she did'nt bother to be taken up by some strangers.
Nowadays Arissa is a bit reserved. She still smiles to all, but she would'nt dare to mingle around. I remember when she was in the old nursery at our former flat house, she got hooked up with one particular Makcik Linda who took care and nursed her all the time. When Makcik Linda left for a long holidays, she was blurred and refused to enter the nursery. There was one Nurul, the niece to Kak Linda who cared for her as replacement. Yet, she was insufficiently convenient with her. She would cry at the door, appealing for sympathy from us. Nurul is a nice girl despite her young age to take care of babies, and she loves all babies.
Now, since we have moved to a new Taska Ummi just around the corner of our new house, Arissa does in again. When her dad took her to school, she refused to enter the class and cried. In my thought, Arissa mirrors me when I was small. I was never put kindergarten and my 1st schooling was in standard 1. The 1st month of the standard 1, I refused to step down of my dad's bike until a relative's daughter who was in standard 5 fetch me up and took me to my class...sigh!
