English class

There have been english class held by 3 panel J here, in Civil Division, started the last Monday 15/3/2010. The 3 panel J are YA Pn. A, YA Dr. P and YA Tn. V. The SARs are made compulsory to attend the class, while TPs are not invited for the time being.

I heard many complaints by SARs regarding the holding of this class. Mainly on the time management as the class is currently held everyday at 3.30pm until 5 or 6pm. Due to time contraints, many of them had to stay back and return home very late. I think, it would be more attracting and beneficial if the class is scheduled at a proper date and the SARs are given choices of time, so that they can opt to which hour they would be available physically, mentally, emosionally for the class, bearing in mind the so-called teachers are not ordinary guys.

Secondly, they complained on the tortures that they have to endure during the sessions. They claimed that they were divided and categorised into certain group of people. Those who are coming from relatively less earning income would be treated as 'very bad' conversance, while the officers who are the children of well earned people would be praised as having pleasant english.

To this I must differ myself with the teachers. I am a kampong girl whose parents do farming and stay in hometown for years. I was raised up in village and even my school was in my hometown. English has never become my parents' language, as we speak in javanese. But look where am I right now? I m lining up on the same stand as the others who were born much luckier than I am. So, what's with the group classification?
