The wish

I was busy thinking of a precious plan to escape from office and get some rest theraphy at malls and buy myself good sets of make-up or handbag with suitable pair of shoes or at least get some new taste of a happy lunch...when suddenly got a memo for a meeting with the dear Director.
It was a crashed plan.
:-(

The meeting took about 2 hours to end. Started at 1 pm, ended at 2.45pm. ThankGod they served us last-minute food for lunch. Somehow the nasi bungkus should'nt be that appealing except that we re all too hungry to decline.

On the other story altogether, I was told that my boss J had dissatisfied grumble over myself the last friday. I bet he would be mad at me when he's back. Lantaklah.

The story is this.

Few months back, there was one file that he ordered to be transferred to the lower court. He assured parties that the file will be sent to that court in less than a week, perhaps 2 days. He asked the registry to manage the transfer. It was an old case, but somehow due to his excellence in coaxing the counsels, they agreed for a transfer provided that they'd get early date in the lower crt.

Apparently the staff who's supposed to type the transfer letter was on a long leave. When she was back, the letter was then wrongly sent to other court which consequently let the case stationed in the registry for a month and parties wrote to his court for an explanation. He felt ambarrased and reputed.
He got so mad that his promise was unfulfilled by technical reasons beyond his control.
Thereafter, when there's an order to transfer, he'd ask his officer to manage the transfer and make sure the file was sent to the transferee court ASAP.

The last time I saw his minute in one file, I did'nt bother to do the letter for transfer. Mainly because we have a reliable staff in our level to do it. I mean, they have a proper transfer subfile and register book for that purpose. Why would trouble yourself? After all, the registry would directly be notified by this process.
So I just blindly ignored his direction, pass the file to the staff for the transfer and did not revert back to him. He did'nt query.
Then comes this file on the last Friday. Again he ordered the transfer. He's a King of Transfer perhaps. Upon the order, he quickly asked the secretary to draft a transfer letter (since I just ignored his previous direction kan). He randomly checked the letter and quicly asked the odeli to bring the letter to me for my signature. I saw the letter and got really surprised.

The letter was addressed to the Director of the Court Complex, who is in charge of Civil Cases for the lower court. Indirectly, I was asked to give order to my senior or boss of the court, in order to perform my duty as a RO. The letter says - Puan adalah diarahkan untuk menetapkan tarikh sebutan dan maklumkan pihak2 mengenai nombor pendaftaran yang baru dan Mahkamah mana yang mendengar kes ini.

Indeed the letter begun with - seperti yang diarahkan oleh si fulan...si fulan iaitu boss kepada saya... but towards the end, I m giving direction to her?- heck, he's the boss of mine or the boss of everyone? - confused!

Number one, I think I shd'nt just sign a piece of paper wherein the content is absolutely against my will. Number two, the letter contains so many spelling mistakes. That would reflect on me, the signatories - teruknya!
Number three, we have the procedure to transfer vide the Managing TP. Why being nosy to over rule her? Do you want to be responsible alone? - sure nottttt...
Number four, perhaps I shd get further direction from my Managing TP as she's in charge of this.

So I told the odeli, as well as the secretary that I need to refer it to the Managing TP. I wont sign it at the moment. But I'll make sure that the transfer wld be done as per order and I would certainly inform parties. Then I straight away went to seek for direction from the boss who then said I dont  need to write such letter directing the Director to do such and such. What would then be her says.

Come Monday.
The Managing TP informed me that on Friday, Dato' called her just to throw his scold on her being truly mad at me.
He said - it's not the issue of transfer. It's the issue of why did my TP refused to sign a letter that I prepared?

I was like.... -_-

First, if he thinks it was so urgent, why transfer? Why dont u proceed hearing the case and gv order as to its merit. No matter whose jurisdictions the case should be, but it came before you, why dont you settle it?
2ndly, I said, I wont sign the letter because I need to refer to the Managing TP, who is my immediate boss, while he is just my liason boss. Why do u hv to make a hussle on it?
3rdly, it's my sign, my reputation that involved. Not yours. I m having a long journey onwards. I might be seeing the Director again in my other post, in future. Do you care if she pulls bad impressions on me upon me signing the letter?

I just explain here.
He did'nt call me to get my direct explanation.
I m just talking to the wall.
I'll be waiting for him to ask me. I have reasons for everything.

I wish he's dissapeared.
Died or somethg.
As long as I dont have to face such stupid reaction from an attention seeker like him.
